The selection process for AFCAT 02/2026 consists of multiple stages designed to assess the candidate's suitability for the Indian Air Force. The first stage is the online written examination, which evaluates candidates on General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude. Candidates who qualify in the written test are then invited for the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) testing, which includes psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews. The final stage involves a comprehensive medical examination to ensure candidates meet the physical and medical standards required for service. Each stage is a prerequisite for moving forward in the selection process.

The AFCAT 2 2026 exam is conducted in an online mode with a total of 100 questions. The maximum marks for the paper are 300, and the duration is 120 minutes. The test covers General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
