Selection Process

The selection process is based on the merit-cum-order of preference submitted by candidates during the online application phase. The Computer Based Examination (CBE) scores determine the initial ranking. In cases where multiple candidates secure identical aggregate marks, the commission resolves ties by evaluating Part-III marks, followed by Part-II marks, date of birth (older candidates preferred), and finally, the alphabetical order of the candidates' names.

Exam Pattern

The examination consists of a Computer Based Examination (CBE) followed by a Stenography Skill Test. The CBE includes sections on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. The Skill Test evaluates the candidate's stenographic speed and accuracy, with specific error percentage limits applied based on the post grade and candidate category.
