Job Description

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced a total of 1182 vacancies for the post of Cane Supervisor (Ganna Parivekshak) under the Department of Sugarcane. The detailed notification with registration dates and eligibility details was released on 2026-05-12. Candidates who appeared in UPSSSC PET 2025 and have a valid score card are eligible to apply. Selected candidates will be responsible for assisting farmers and improving sugarcane cultivation practices in Uttar Pradesh.

Age Limit (Detail)

The minimum age limit is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years to be eligible to apply for the post of Cane Supervisor. Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Selection Process

The selection process for Cane Supervisor post consists of the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting based on UPSSSC PET 2025 Normalised Score- Only those candidates who appeared in PET 2025 and received a Score Card are eligible. Candidates with zero or negative PET score will not be shortlisted.
  2. Main Written Examination- Objective MCQ-based exam of 100 marks/100 questions in 2 hours.
  3. Document Verification- Final verification of certificates and eligibility documents.

Note: For the written exam, shortlisting will be done at 15 times the advertised vacancies per category based on PET normalised score (up to 2 decimal places).

Exam Pattern

The UP Cane Supervisor Exam includes objective-type multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks. The exam will be conducted for a total of 2 hours.
