The CBSE Junior Assistant exam pattern is structured to provide a comprehensive evaluation of a candidate's mental and clerical aptitude. The examination consists of 100 questions, carrying a total of 300 marks. The allotted duration for the exam is 2 hours. The paper covers five distinct parts to ensure a well-rounded assessment.
- General Knowledge: Focuses on current affairs and environmental awareness.
- Reasoning & Mathematical Ability: Evaluates logical thinking and numerical proficiency.
- General Hindi and English: Tests linguistic command.
- Basic Computer Knowledge: Assesses familiarity with standard office computer systems.
- Awareness about School Education: Tests the candidate's understanding of the educational board's functioning.
The examination is bilingual, provided in both Hindi and English. Candidates are also required to demonstrate a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. (English) or 30 w.p.m. (Hindi) to satisfy the technical requirement of the job.
