Exam Stages:

  1. Tier-I (Computer Based Examination): This is the first stage, an online objective type test covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section carries 50 questions for 50 marks, totaling 200 questions and 200 marks, to be completed in 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET): Candidates who qualify Tier-I are called for PST/PET. This stage assesses physical measurements (height, chest) and endurance (running, long jump, high jump, shot put) as per prescribed standards. This stage is qualifying in nature.
  3. Tier-II (Computer Based Examination): Candidates who clear PST/PET appear for Tier-II, which is an online objective type test focused solely on English Comprehension. It consists of 200 questions for 200 marks, to be completed in 2 hours. Similar to Tier-I, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  4. Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify Tier-II are then called for a detailed medical examination to ensure they meet the prescribed medical standards for the respective posts.
  5. Document Verification: Finally, candidates who clear all stages undergo document verification before the final merit list is prepared.
